Open Access and Publishing Policies
Open Access Policy
CJMLIT is a Gold Open Access journal, which ensures that all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide. Anyone may read, download, print, distribute, and reuse the full text of articles without restriction, provided the use is lawful and proper credit is given. This approach aligns with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
License & Copyright
Articles published in the Canadian Journal of Machine Learning & Intelligent Transportation are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license:
- Authors retain full copyright over their work.
- Others are free to share, adapt, and reuse the content for any purpose, including commercial use.
- Proper attribution to the original authors and source is required.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
To support open access and journal operations, CJMLIT applies an APC of 1000 USD for accepted articles. This fee helps cover peer review, editing, typesetting, archiving, and digital platform maintenance.
Note: There are no submission fees, and authors are not charged if the manuscript is rejected.
There are also no extra fees for article length, figures, or supplementary materials. Editorials, corrections, and commentaries are published free of charge.
All APCs are waived until January 31, 2026. Authors will not be charged during this period.
Waiver and Discount Policy
CJMLIT supports global access to publishing. A 100% APC waiver is automatically granted to corresponding authors affiliated with institutions in low-income countries.
