Scope, Mission, and Publishing Model

CJAILEI advances interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital learning, engineering education, intelligent tutoring systems, learning analytics, curriculum innovation, educational technologies, applied engineering systems, and sustainable technological development.

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, methodological studies, system and framework papers, case studies, data papers, reproducibility studies, and policy-oriented contributions. It promotes collaboration among researchers, educators, engineers, technology developers, policymakers, institutional leaders, and industry stakeholders to support the development of inclusive, responsible, accessible, and context-aware AI-enabled learning and engineering solutions.

CJAILEI particularly welcomes research that addresses the realities of emerging economies and resource-constrained environments, including limited connectivity, insufficient technological infrastructure, unequal access to educational resources, evolving workforce requirements, and the need for locally relevant and sustainable engineering solutions.

Research manuscripts undergo a double-anonymous peer-review process and are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Additional review rounds may be conducted when major revisions are required or when reviewer recommendations diverge. The final editorial decision is made by the assigned editor under the oversight of the Editor-in-Chief and in accordance with the journal’s editorial independence, conflict-of-interest, and research-integrity policies.

Open Access and Copyright

CJAILEI provides immediate open access to its published content. All articles are freely available online to support the international dissemination, accessibility, and responsible reuse of scholarly knowledge.

Authors retain copyright in their work. Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated.

Article Processing Charges

CJAILEI does not charge submission fees, editorial processing fees, page charges, or publication fees. Article Processing Charges are fully waived until January 31, 2027.

The absence or waiver of publication fees does not influence editorial assessment, peer-review decisions, or the scientific standards applied to submitted manuscripts.

Digital Object Identifiers and Metadata

Articles published by CJAILEI will be assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref. The Crossref DOI prefix registered to CuspideScience is 10.65269.

Each published article will include structured bibliographic metadata, author information, affiliations, abstracts, keywords, references, licensing information, publication dates, and persistent identifiers, where applicable.

Archiving, Preservation, and Discovery

CJAILEI is committed to the long-term accessibility, preservation, and integrity of its scholarly content. Published articles will be hosted on the journal’s Open Journal Systems platform and will receive persistent identifiers through Crossref.

Subject to eligibility and technical requirements, the journal plans to participate in recognized preservation and archival services, including the PKP Preservation Network, and to comply with applicable digital legal deposit requirements of Library and Archives Canada.

Following publication of its first complete issue and assignment of an online ISSN, CJAILEI will pursue appropriate scholarly discovery, directory, and indexing opportunities, including Google Scholar, ROAD, and other relevant academic databases, catalogues, and discovery services.

Editorial Independence and Research Integrity

Editorial decisions are based exclusively on scholarly relevance, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, clarity, and contribution to knowledge. Conference organizers, sponsors, institutional partners, and the publisher do not have the authority to require the acceptance of a manuscript.

Editors, guest editors, reviewers, and authors must disclose any relationship or interest that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the editorial or peer-review process. Editors with a conflict of interest concerning a manuscript must not participate in reviewer selection, editorial assessment, or the final decision.
